Accessibility

We want everyone who visits the Wiltshire and Swindon Community Messaging website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

This site provides accessibility help, enabling computer users to make the most of the content and functionality on this website:

What are we doing?

To help us make the Wiltshire and Swindon Community Messaging website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We?ve chosen Level A as the target for the Wiltshire and Swindon Community Messaging website.

You can change the size of any text on the site by clicking on the 3 A's at the top of the screen. The smallest A decreases the font size, the largest A increases the font size and the medium A resets the text back to default.

If you cannot read any of the text at all, you can enable the speech function on your computer or there are third party extensions/applications you can download which will read the text on your screen for you.

Here is a guide on how to turn on the speech function on your computer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/accessibility/guides/speak_text/
