🚔 Local Policing Community Alert – Chilmark Village

Dear Residents,

We have received reports of individuals carrying torches during the night and looking into parked cars and vans in the Chilmark village area.

Residents are reminded to:

Always lock your vehicles, even if they are parked outside your home.

Remove all valuables from your vehicle or keep them out of sight.

If possible, park in a well-lit area close to your property.

Consider installing CCTV cameras or other security devices.

Invest in forensic property marking kits and other crime prevention measures to help deter thieves and assist with identifying stolen property.

Please remain vigilant and keep an eye out for any suspicious activity in your neighbourhood.

If you witness a crime in progress or believe there is an immediate threat to life or property, call 999 immediately. For non-emergency reports, suspicious circumstances, or to pass on information, please contact the police on 101.

Working together as a community is one of the best ways to help prevent crime and keep Chilmark Village safe.
