Appeal for witnesses after teenager assaulted during robbery near Longfield Estate

We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Trowbridge in which a pushbike was stolen.

A 16-year-old was approached by a man near to the steps of the bridge by Tesco, on the Longfield end at around 7pm yesterday (27/07). The man asked for the bike to be handed over and when the teenager said no he was elbowed and punched repeatedly in the face.

The 16-year-old attended hospital to be treated for his injuries.

If you saw what happened or saw a man without a top on cycling away from the Tesco bridge towards the Longfield Estate/Dursley Lane we would like to hear from you.

We'd also ask anyone in the area that may have CCTV to contact us.
