Wiltshire Police welcomes 20 new Police Constables

We welcomed 20 new Police Constables into our ranks before 2024 comes to a close. The ceremony was held on the stormy afternoon of the 20th of December at Devizes Rugby Club.

Chief of Corporate Services John Derryman welcomed the new police constables into the Force and presented them with their warrant cards in his first Wiltshire Police passing out ceremony since joining the Force last year. Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson was also in attendance and shared his congratulations.

IPL 19 have completed their initial 23 weeks of training with the Learning and Development team and move into their tutorship phase where they will build upon this strong foundation with the guidance of their tutors and new teams.

The pass out ceremony is not only a celebration of their individual achievements, but also a celebration of the combined effort by the recruitment team, vetting, occupational health, and stores as well as the family and friends who support them.

As the student officers join their new teams across the county, we welcome them into the Force and take the opportunity to wish them the best of luck in their careers with us.
