** Community Impactive Crimes **


Please find below details relating to the Community Impactive Crimes that have occurred between Monday 16th October and Sunday 22nd October in the Trowbridge area.

 

Vehicle                 25/10/2023

County Way - Vehicle stopped by officers and driver found to have no insurance.

 

45 year old male issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR), vehicle seized.

 

 

Theft of Bicycle                27/10/2023

Cradle Bridge Retail Park - Insecure bicycle stolen from the location.

 

  • When parking away from home make sure your bike is locked to a heavy piece of street furniture and where possible with the lock or chain off of the floor.
  • At home, lock bicycles in a secure garage or shed if you have one, using a good quality U-lock or chain and padlock to a ground anchor.
  • Mark your bicycle frame with your postcode in two separate locations if possible, one of which should be hidden.
  • Take a photograph of your bicycle and keep it with the insurance details.
  • Make a note of the make, model and serial number.

    Theft of Motor Vehicle   27/10/2023

    Timbrell Street - Vehicle stolen from the street.

     

    Vehicle was later involved in an RTC in Melksham area. 38 year old male was arrested on suspicion of ;

    Drive whilst unfit through drink

    Drive whilst disqualified

    Aggravated vehicle taking

    He has been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.

     

    Vehicle / Criminal Damage  27/10/2023

    Yarnbrook Gardens - Entry attempted to parked van. No entry gained, however damage caused to door.

     

    Theft / Fraud           29/10/2023

    Park Road - Victim has accidently dropped bank card. This has been found and subsequently used by suspect.

     

    Two females have been interviewed in relation to the usage of this card.

     

     

    Please note that whilst there have been other community impactive incidents that have occurred, I have not mentioned these as they have either already been reported separately by Trowbridge Police via the media or we are unable to provide details due to ongoing investigations.
